LGBTQ+ Inclusion Training is one of the first active steps an organisation can take in their inclusion journey. That said, LGBTQ+ inclusion training should be offered consistently and as a refresher to ensure that staff are up-to-date with the knowledge and skills required to engage with colleagues, stakeholders, clients, etc in an inclusive manner.
The training I offer is developed for each organisation I work with, with their needs and requirements in mind. This is essential to ensure that not only each organisation or business receives value for money, but that every participant is interested and engaged, to get the most out of the session that they can.
LGBTQ+ inclusion session content
The LGBTQ+ Inclusion Training is informal and interactive, with break out group discussions and activities, alongside short films, lecture style and case studies, where appropriate.
Session content is tailored to each organisation’s requirements and can include:
- Understanding LGBTQ+ terms and identities
- Social and medical transition pathways for trans and non-binary people
- LGBTQ+ inclusion and the law
- Communicating effectively and inclusively
- Identifying inappropriate behaviour and how to challenge
- LGBTQ+ people’s lived experience and playing your part
- LGBTQ+ inclusive practices in your setting or sector

“You are friendly, clear, informative and very thorough in delivery. I am proud to say that I am now a well-informed individual when it comes to transgender awareness because of your expertise. The environment you create is relaxed and easy-going and as a result we felt comfortable to ask questions which aided our understanding.” – Rosie (Counsellor)
